Getting Ready to Start

I've loved to draw all my life, and I did a lot as a child.  When the teen years hit, however, that stopped completely.  I picked it up again as a simple pass time in 2005, but I never took it seriously.  I have told myself many times since that I would apply myself and really work hard to improve my artwork, but each time it was spoken insincerely.  As a result, my skill hasn't really improved as much as I would like.  Don't get me wrong, it's leaps above what it was back then, but it's still nowhere near what I want.  This project is meant to change that.

Beginning April 1st, I'm going to be drawing every single day and looking into as much art related instructional material as I can get my hands on.  I have a couple of other projects in mind for April, but I'm going to do my best to put equal efforts into all of them.  For this one, I will be posting what I draw every day if possible.  I'll probably be doing a monthly theme of study, and the one I plan to start with is human anatomy.

Anyone who wants to join is also welcome to do so!  I strongly encourage everyone to give art a try.  I'm certainly not gonna bash your efforts.

I have drawn a pic to the best of my ability so that I could gauge my current drawing skills.  This is where I am now, and we'll see where I make it to in the future.  I'll be back in a couple of days with my first sketch for this project.
